Terms & Conditions

Last updated 21 October 2026

Effective: 21 October 2026

By creating an account, browsing events, purchasing tickets, or otherwise using the EventOut platform (the "Service"), you agree that you are at least 18 years old and that you accept these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What EventOut is

EventOut is an event discovery and ticketing platform operated by EventOut Inc. We connect people with live events concerts, festivals, conferences, workshops, sports, and community gatherings and handle ticket sales and entry verification on behalf of event organisers.

We do not own or produce the events listed on the Service unless we are the named organiser. We are a marketplace and an entry-verification platform, not the promoter of every event you see.

2. Accounts

  1. You must provide a valid email address and a valid Nigerian phone number when you sign up.
  2. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and for all activity under your account.
  3. You must not share your login details, sell or transfer tickets using someone else's account, or attempt to access another person's account.
  4. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, our policies, or the law you will receive a reasonable notice where we can give one.

3. Event listings

Event details dates, venues, prices, line-ups, seating, and availability are entered by the event organiser or their representative and are their responsibility. We display what we are given and will remove or correct listings that are clearly false, misleading, or fraudulent, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is accurate at all times.

Always check the event page for the latest information before you travel or make plans.

4. Tickets & payments

  1. Tickets are sold by EventOut or by the event organiser, depending on the event. Where we sell the ticket, your contract for that ticket is with EventOut Inc. Where the organiser sells it, your contract is with them and we act as their ticketing agent.
  2. All payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (₦) through our payment processor. You must complete payment within the time allowed or your reservation will be released.
  3. Tickets are personal and non-transferable unless the event explicitly allows transfers through the Service. A ticket bought in someone else's name may be refused at entry.
  4. We are not responsible for event cancellation, postponement, or change by the organiser, beyond the refunds or alternatives the organiser or we explicitly offer. If an event is cancelled and no alternative is offered, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.
  5. Refunds are handled according to the refund policy shown on the event page and our payment terms. Where a refund is due, it goes back to the original payment method where possible.

5. Entry & tickets at the door

Your ticket digital or paper is your evidence of purchase and your right to enter the event subject to the event's own entry conditions. Present your ticket as directed. We may verify tickets through QR codes, barcodes, or other methods we choose.

Lost, deleted, or altered tickets may not be replaceable. Keep your ticket accessible for the full event and any post-event verification period.

6. Your conduct

You must not:

We may remove content, refuse a listing, cancel a ticket, or suspend an account where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.

7. User content

If you submit reviews, questions, or other content to the Service, you confirm you own it or have the right to post it, and you grant EventOut a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it in connection with the Service. We may remove user content at any time, for any reason or no reason, without notice.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its original content, logos, brand, and the look and feel of the app and website are owned by EventOut Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our permission, except for the normal personal use of the Service.

Event names, images, and descriptions belong to their respective owners. Listing them on EventOut does not transfer any rights to you.

9. Limitation of liability

EventOut acts as a platform and, where applicable, a ticket agent. We are not a performer, venue, sponsor, or insurer of any event. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from an event you attend, including travel, accommodation, personal injury, or loss of enjoyment, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of event organisers, other attendees, or third-party service providers, except where we are legally liable.

Where we are liable, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the ticket or service giving rise to the claim, or ₦10,000 if no fee was paid, whichever is lower.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in how the Service works, legal requirements, or commercial arrangements. Where the change is material, we will make a reasonable effort to notify active users for example by email or an in-app notice.

The "Effective" date at the top of this page is the date the current version took effect. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. For any dispute arising from or connected to the Service, we encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve it directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be submitted to the competent courts of Nigeria.

12. How to contact us
